Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne stood beside his jungler, Robert "blaber" Huang, and encouraged him as Huang worked through trying to find the words to describe years of failed attempts to reach the international stage, culminating in a victory over LYON in the LCS Upper Bracket semifinal.
Cloud9 Kia will be making its first international appearance since 2023 at the League of Legends World Championships, starting Oct. 15 with the Play-In Stages at Riot Games Arena in Santa Monica. The Swiss stage begins Oct. 23 in Allen, Texas, with the World Finals happening at Barclays Center in New York.
For Etienne, it validated his trust in Huang as one of his team’s key members.
