Fighting games are a recent example.

Chilean Street Fighter player Christopher “McLovin” Gonzalez signed a professional contract with Black Esports. McLovin is 13 years old and one of the up-and-coming players in the Street Fighter space.

McLovin is the latest young player from the country, joining 16-year-old professional Derek “Blaz” Blaz as players making their mark. There was also news about a Chilean 10-year-old player under the gamertag “Gudfella” placing high in online events in the region.
